Older adults are lonely and feel isolated

It’s estimate that 24 per cent of Canadians over age 65 feel isolated from others and wish they could participate in more social activities. Through our Give65 partnerships, organizations are able to provide more opportunities to older adults to keep them engaged with their peers and connected with their communities. Poverty in retirement disproportionally affects single aging adults

It’s estimated that nearly 4 per cent of older adults are living in poverty. Of that, 80 per cent are single, and 75 per cent of those that are single are women. Give65 charitable organizations are stepping up to make sure the basic needs of their clients are met.

Celebrating Your Care Pros in a Special Way

After a beloved client passed away, a local Home Instead owner made a gift to honour his grieving Care Professional

This meaningful program provides an opportunity to honour a Home Instead Care Professional who made a positive, lasting impact. The Care Pro receives a special letter informing them that a gift has been made in their honour. The Home Instead franchise office that employs the Care Pro is also notified of the tribute gift so they can recognize the Care Pro in a special way. Gift amounts are confidential.
